1. How to give clothing or furniture, etc. that I don’t use anymore?

Drop off your articles at the following address:
4755-E Acorn Street (St-Henri borough)
From Monday to Friday
From 7 am to 3 pm

2. Does a pick-up service exist?

We cannot guarantee that a truck will be available to pick-up your articles; however, you can call our Operations department to inquire: 514-937-9857 extension 152

3. How many people work at Welcome Hall Mission?

Each year, the number of employees increase as Welcome Hall Mission continues to provide a helping hand to the most disadvantaged of Montreal. About 130 people work full- and part-time in our five buildings. In addition, we are assisted by thousands of volunteers who give their time and expertise for free. Their help is vitally important to us!

4. How is Welcome Hall Mission funded?

Our programs and services are funded by individuals, government, corporations and foundations, and others organizations. We appreciate everyone’s support!

5. Where do you get the food you distribute?

Throughout the year, Welcome Hall Mission receives millions of dollars worth of food supplies provided by individuals, churches, and organizations. In addition, Welcome Hall Mission buys food and other products in order to provide nutritious, balanced meals to our clientele.

6. What happens to donated clothing?

The articles are distributed for free to disadvantaged families during our various events such as Rentrée la tête haute and Noël Pour Tous, and all year round.

The clothing is also redistributed to Old Brewery Mission and La Maison du Père according to their need.

The excess clothing is sent to La Boutique, and sold at very reasonable prices. The profit is entirely reinvested in the Mission in order to finance the service. All profits from our thrift shop are entirely reinvested into the Mission to help finance programs that help the needy.

8. Is there a minimum amount for donations?

Welcome Hall Mission accepts donations of any amount, but our online donation program requires a minimum amount of $5. A tax receipt is issued for all donations.

9. Can I make a monthly donation?

Yes. You can do so by credit card or by pre-authorized direct debit. For more information you can call our donation service at 514-523-5288, ext. 339.
