Reintegration Intervention Worker

Intervention and Accompaniment

  • Full Time (37,5 hours/week)

Established in 1892, Welcome Hall Mission is the largest doorway to help for Montrealers in need. We provide hope through concrete actions and effective solutions that include helping people experiencing homelessness find permanent housing and by supporting young single mothers and young people living in precarious situations. By preparing and serving 4700 meals each week and providing more than 3000 families with free, healthy and nutritious groceries in our two Marché Bon Accueil locations, Welcome Hall Mission offers the largest direct food security program to the public in Quebec. Primary duties and responsibilities

  • Evaluate the clients’ needs on a personal, social and professional level
  • Accompany the clients in the development of their autonomy
  • Accompany the clients by developing action plans and providing necessary support
  • Guide and assist clients towards social services and existing external resources
  • Meet with client to evaluate their progress, encourage them and discuss encountered problems and difficulties
  • Maintain program statistics for evaluation purposes
  • Performs any other related task

 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

Required qualifications

  • Have obtained one of the following diplomas: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Drug Addiction, Criminology, Psychoeducation, Psychology, School Adaptation, Guidance Counselling, Nursing, Sexology, Psychosocial Intervention or an equivalent College level training.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a similar role is an important asset
  • English and French fluency in both oral and written;
  • Proficiency with the Office suite and with the SISA software
