Community Integration Consultant

Under the supervision of the Director of Community Support, the social work technician assesses the needs of clients and draws up a portrait of their current situation. He/she develops individualized follow-up plans based on the needs expressed by the clients. The Social Work Technician liaises with the various key players to ensure that plans are progressing and objectives are being met. He/she follows up with clients on a regular basis and adjusts their plan as needed.

Job type: 

  • Full time (37,5h per week)
  • Permanent
  • Daytime work from Monday to Friday and stable schedule


Primary Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Evaluates the client's needs and establishes a summary of their current situation;
  • Develops an individualized follow-up plan based on the needs expressed by the client;
  • Acts as a point of liaison between key players to ensure that the plan progresses and that the objectives are achieved;
  • Based on the established plan, refers the client to the appropriate external resources and partners;
  • Follows up regularly with the client and adjusts the plan as needed;
  • Ensures the administrative management of the files;
  • Performs all other related tasks.

Desired Profile

  • Ability to work with a marginalized clientele
  • organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people
  • A minimum of one (1) years’ experience in a similar position
  • Fluent in spoken French; English skills are an asset
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • College level Diploma in Social Work
  • Knowing the community environment
  • Have an understanding of immigration issues
  • Experience with immigrant population (an asset)
