Children’s Services

Walking with children and youth on the road to success in the South-West district of Montreal

At Welcome Hall Mission, we believe in the potential of every child. We understand the challenges of raising a family and how diffi cult it can be for parents to also support their children’s academic success. We think that every child is worth investing in and that is why we collaborate with their families to improve their chances of success… all while having fun!

We believe that educated children have the best chance of success. Welcome Hall Mission’s Children’s Services team is available to accompany your child or teen in their social and personal development through a variety of programs tailored to their needs.

Everyday involvement in their children’s scholastic life can be difficult for parents. The Children’s Services team understands and collaborates with families to support their children’s academic efforts on a daily basis, providing tailor-made strategies based on the child’s level and academic needs. Equipped with study tools and effective strategies for getting their work done, children are much more likely to persevere and go on to graduate. Depending on the needs of the child, help with homework is offered in either an individual or group setting.

But the academic support program is not just all hard work! It also includes a personal development component that features sports activities, themed workshops and opportunities to express creativity. These periods of recreation and play allow the Children’s Services team to build bonds with the youngsters, sometimes identifying problems or needs that can later be addressed.
